Women and Stress

Last night I was speaking with a good friend of mine and she mentioned that she had been unders some stress lately. I enquired, to see if I could help but she woouldnt let on for some reason. That got me thinking..

Do we as men manage stress differently to women?

Have a look at this!

Life today is full of stress, and with it all the health and other complications that come with it. There are almost as many ways to manage your woman stress as there are people in the world. Some people manage stress poorly, such as overeating or turning to drugs and alcohol. Some people manage stress well.

A few tried and true excellent ways to relieve stress are the ancient arts of Zen and yoga. Zen is the art of quieting body and mind and focusing on one thing outside yourself. What you focus on is completely up to you-be it the flower outside your window, the infinity of the universe, God, whatever. Yoga focuses less on the mind and more on your body. By stretching and flexing your muscles, you can feel the stress melting away.

Stress can also be managed many other ways, such as through deep breathing exercises, taking a short walk or other light exercise, reading a good book, watching a good movie, getting out into nature, or listening to a relaxing CD. Other stress management methods include less well-known modes such as acupuncture and hypnosis. However, these methods need to be administered by a professional and should not be used as a home relief. Less healthy methods of stress relief also include binge eating, drinking, drugs, and smoking. While these stress relief methods do work in the short run, they may cause other damage to your health.

Find out how ordinary people are improving their life situations easily and with little effort!

When you decide that relieving your stress level is what has to be done, consult your doctor. He or she will be able to determine whether your chosen method will be the best for you, and any adverse effects will then be discussed. Your physician may prescribe medication for you if you are at a risk for other problems. What you do not want to do is nothing at all. Continually high stress levels put people at risk for problems such as heart attack and stroke.

There are many other different types of therapy to help you manage your stress. Maintaining a relaxed body and mind can be very easy if you have the tools and knowledge. Everyone has stress in their lives-even the youngest little baby gets stressed out when his needs are not met. Being able to control your stress levels is extremely important to your overall health. The most important thing to remember when trying to reduce stress is that you need time for yourself-free from the stresses of children, spouses, and other family. While you may love these people in your life, they are also usually the cause of most of your woman stress.

You have probably noticed those people at work, school, and in your daily life that always appear to be self confident and on top of world.

Everything seems to go right for these people and they always seem to present themselves as calm, collected and successful in everything they do.

If you are paying attention you have probably noticed that these self confident people usually are successful in every area of their lives.

Is this because they are smarter? Or is it because they have more money? Maybe they are just lucky?

The reality is that none of these things are necessarily true. Self confident people understand the impact of believing in themselves and relying on their abilities.

This confidence ultimately creates opportunities for success and with each new success another self confidence building block is put into place. Success builds upon success reinforcing self confidence with each new achievement.

Self confident people perceive themselves as able to achieve those things they set out to do and this perception creates reality in their lives.

Yes, perception creates reality. You can become the person you want to be. You have heard it said that if you can believe it you can achieve it.

So start believing in yourself, acting on that belief and you will start building self confidence in your life.

Here are some helpful tips to build self confidence one success at a time.

1. Make a list of your strong points.

All the positive things about yourself and the things that you are good at doing. Think of compliments you have received or things that come easily to you. It doesn't matter what it is, if it's good, write it down.

2. Choose two of those things that you want to work on to improve even more.

It's important to succeed and by concentrating on the areas you are already good at you will have a better chance of becoming even more sure of yourself. Remember that success builds upon success.

3. Exude confidence even if you don't feel like it.

Talk to yourself in an encouraging way and stay away from negative thoughts and people as you can.

Instead surround yourself with positive, confident, and successful people. This will become a habit and one that will build confidence.

4. Look at yourself in a different way than you are used to doing.

It can change your life and help your confidence level to rise. See yourself as the self confident person you want to be and before you know it you will become that person.

If you have a set-back do not let it get the best of you. Remember the times when you exhibited self confidence and how good it felt and then try again and each time will help you to build confidence and confidence building will become a way of life.
